Responsabilities

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral associate to conduct research in an ARC/CRA (Action de Recherche Concertée/Concerted Research Action) project entitled: “BrainBrush”.

This proposal is a joint project between UCLouvain and UNamur researchers to better understand the impact of senescence on the development of tauopathies by using mouse models. The URBC-Narilis is more particularly in charge of transcriptomic (RNAseq) and proteomic studies on mouse samples at different ages and from different brain regions in order to get a global view of the associated changes in order to define which changes are common to the different regions studied, particularly with regard to senescence. We are therefore looking for a postdoc able to take charge of these analyses from sample preparation to bioinformatic analysis.

Profile

Candidates should have a recent PhD in a relevant discipline and a strong background in cellular and molecular biology. Experience in working with mouse models and bioinformatics processing of high-throughput data is particularly desirable.

Candidates should be highly motivated with a strong interest in pursuing scientific questions. They should work independently while interacting with host lab members and the other teams involved in the project.

The candidates should be in international mobility status (with no more than 24 months of postdoctoral fellowship in Belgium in the last 36 months).
